I have to admit, I was pretty much stuck with this week's theme. I was exploring ideas like Prometheus bringing fire to man like, but honestly, would I want to eat something with a half naked giant on it? I don’t think so! I was going to pass it up, until this particular bento started falling into place. As I added the final touch, a breath of fire, I realized that hey, this could work for the fire challenge! So anyway, presenting, my Chibi (little) Dragon Bento.

Okay, this is my first attempt at a bento challenge. It didn't turn out quite the way I had invisioned, but that's okay :)



I present to you a fire breathing dragon on top of a bed of hot lava. This bento is two fat free bean and cheese enchiladas with an avacado dragon, sour cream, nori, and bell pepper accents.
 

This is my first bento for bentochallenge. I have to say right away that I was inspired by Chaobell's fire bento but since there is no prize this time I thought it'd be alright.

• Chili nuts
• 3 hot wings on a bed of red lettuce
• Noodles fried in barbeque spices and ketchup
• Yellow pepper flames
• Cheese flames "painted" with ketchup
• In the lid: Laughing Cow cheese with a "Alt-i-én" vegetable biscuit*
• Canned coke

I added the biscuit and Laughing Cow cheese to take some of the heat off my lunch. And I'm glad I did! The noodles were actually a lot spicier than I had thought. It was a lovely meal indeed. :)

* "Alt-i-én" is Danish for "All-in-one". It's super healthy and tastes like old newspapers. x_x

So I says to myself, sure, I can just make some pasta or rice or something and stick little cheese and veggie flames all over it... or I can take the theme another direction and put delicious mouthburny fire-flavored goodness in the box!
( it tastes like burning! )

Next week's challenge is a really hot subject! FIRE!
